Crossing Spaces, vol. I, II, III
Crossing Spaces, is an ongoing project in which I reflect on our relation towards time and space around us. The series of photographs and compilation of short films show my journey through different landscapes, to which I pay brief visits and capture slow impressions of my temporary existence within them.
The balanced performance of my appearance and disappearance in the staged landscapes, shows my interpretation of the reality. I literally go into a landscape and merge with it, until I become one with the scene and a new reality is born. The motion in my work makes the
experience of time and space tangible. The world slows down to a momentum of barely visible but constant change.
This project became a diary of my wanderings through different spaces, through my ‘inward’ and ‘outward’ landscape. Besides the personal experience of the surroundings, the project also reinforces the universal, existential question, always present in my work, about the human presence in the world and our experience of the space around us.
